The village of Celuk in Sukawati, just north of Bali’s capital of Denpasar, is home to a unique new water sports attraction: Tubing Asa Suka 92, a six-kilometer-long tubing trail that passes along a river, through rice fields, and even passes a cavern at one point.
The water tubing experience is a joint venture between the local community members and a village-owned enterprise (BUMDes) – Tri Amerta Dana.
The Sukawati Sub-District Chief (Camat), I Gede Daging, is promoting the new attraction with members of the sub-district community. Commenting on the new tourism venture, Daging said the tube rafting attractions are an idea of the Village Chief of Sukawati, built with village funds, and then operated by Asasuka 92 and other parties.

Imagine traveling through picturesque rural scenery, with lush green rice fields on one side and a serene river on the other. This is the experience you can expect from the Tubing Asa Suka 92. The entire journey takes about one hour to complete, and towards the end, participants enter a cave, adding to the pure excitement of the journey.
While Celuk is widely known as a silver handicraft center in Bali, the area also possesses beautiful natural settings. Daging said the area suits outdoor recreational activities like cycling through the rice fields.
The Sub-District Chief said he hopes domestic tourists will come to undertake tubing trips at Celuk. He said plans are underway to build a rest pavilion for those tubing.
The cost of the one-hour tubing trip is Rp. 250,000 for domestic tourists and US$55 for foreign tourists. Admission includes a meal.
