Tourism arrival numbers to Bali continue to surge. Bali’s Ngurah Rai Airport welcomed 1,751,427 passengers during the entire month of February 2024. Of that number, 1,002,390 (57%) were international travelers. Quoted by the State News Agency Antara, the General Manager of Bali’s Airport, Handy Heryudhitiawan, said the 1,75 million tourists who traveled to Bali did so on 5,520 separate flights.
The busiest air routes to Bali flew from Singapore (206,168 passengers), Kuala Lumpur (135,768 passengers), and Perth (73,138 passengers.
In terms of the nationalities of people flying to Bali, Australians top the list at 96,262 visitors; this was followed by Mainland Chinese nationals (56,476) and Indians (35,885),
Domestic air passengers arriving in Bali in February 2024 totaled 749,037, traveling on 5,388 flights.
On a cumulative level, the number of passengers using Bali’s Ngurah Rai Airport for the first two months of 2024 increased by 21% compared to the first two months of 2023.
January – February 2024 recorded 3,55,108 domestic and international passengers compared to 2,933,636 passengers in 2023. This represents a 21% year-on-year increase in passengers.
Airport officials think arrivals to Bali will be buoyed further in March, positively influenced by the Lebaran holidays,
Bali’s Airport confirmed that Etihad Airways, Indigo Airlines, and Starlux have submitted requests for new or additional flights to Bali.
