Upon further examination, officers found the cocaine in a liquid suspension inside shampoo bottles. TCDS was subsequently taken to the Bali Regional Police Narcotics Investigation Directorate Office for questioning and further investigation.

Bali Regional Police Head of Public Relations, Senior Commissioner (Kombes Polisi) Ariasandy, confirmed the detention of the Brazilian woman on Sunday, 01 October 2026.
