Police investigators have confirmed that the incident took place at Motel Mexicola Seminyak, located on Jalan Kayu Jati, Kerobokan Kelod, North Kuta District, Badung.
Acting Head of Public Relations for the Badung Police, Second Police Inspector (Ipda) Ni Nyoman Yuni Eltari, said in a written release on Monday, 05 October 2026, that the altercation occurred on Thursday, 01 October 2026, sometime between 11:12 PM and 11:35 PM.
The footage shows a shirtless foreign man running toward the bar entrance. He then assaulted a man wearing a white shirt and white trousers.
Several individuals, believed to be friends of the man launching the assault, attempted to break up the fight and pull him away from the scene. The footage also shows another man striking the foreign national before friends finally pulled him away. According to I Gusti Putu Wira Suparta, the manager of Motel Mexicola Seminyak, the incident began with a fight between two Australian nationals inside the bar area.
Security personnel, upon learning of the incident, tried to break up the fight and escort those involved out of the Motel Mexicola premises.

However, the altercations between the two men continued once they were outside the nightspot. One of the Australians involved in the initial altercation reportedly launched another attack and attempted to re-enter the motel.
That individual allegedly struck a security guard. As this happened repeatedly, guards tried to prevent him from re-entering, fearing he would disturb the safety and comfort of other patrons.
The situation escalated when the man attempted to enter by climbing over the Motel Mexicola wall. A security guard wearing a white shirt attempted to block the Australian.
However, the man reportedly struck the security guard again. Other security guards who witnessed the attack responded to stop the altercation.
Following the incident, the man was eventually escorted away from the scene by his friends, walking west away from Motel Mexicola.
According to motel staff, the attack was allegedly triggered by resentment, with one person feeling he had been unfairly ejected by security while the motel staff protected his opponent.
Although a security guard was reportedly struck, Motel Mexicola Seminyak management has not yet filed a police report related to the incident.
No one has officially come forward as a victim or claimed to have suffered damages as a result of the fight, which would form the basis of a police report and follow-up investigation.
After the incident was shared on social media, police visited the scene to gather statements and review CCTV footage. Motel Mexicola Seminyak, seen by observers as a victim of the incident, has also been urged to file an official police report, which will allow police to investigate and pursue the matter in accordance with the law.
