NusaBali reports that the Ngurah Rai Class I Immigration Office has opened an immigration service counter at Discovery Mall Bali in Kuta. Called the “Immigration Lounge,” the new counter was launched on Wednesday, 08 July. It is the first immigration service in Bali inside a shopping center.
The Head of the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office, Bugie Kurniawan, said the Immigration Lounge is intended to facilitate immigration services for residents and tourists, especially those living in Kuta and North Kuta. With this new service, the public will no longer need to visit the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office in Jimbaran to process immigration services.
”We hope this Immigration Lounge can present a “new face” for immigration services, bringing them closer to the public. The lounge not only provides easier access but also delivers a faster, more convenient, and higher-quality service experience. Going forward, we will continue to innovate so immigration services can keep up with the increasingly dynamic needs of the community,” said Bugie on Thursday, 09 July 2026.
Bugie explained that the Immigration Lounge will provide services that include issuing Indonesian Passports, Visit Stay Permits, Limited Stay Permits (KITAS), Permanent Stay Permits (KITAP), and Golden Visas.

Immigration Lounge, DISCOVERY MALL, Open 10:00 am until 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday
The new service counter is open Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
According to Bugie, the Kuta shopping center was chosen because it is one of the locations with high levels of community and tourist activity. In addition to easy access, the Immigration Lounge concept is expected to provide a new experience in public services. The public can process immigration documents in an accessible location while taking advantage of the various facilities available at the shopping center.
Bugie added that this innovation is a form of adapting public services to the evolving needs of the community. He added that with the increasing mobility of residents and tourists in Bali, accessible services are increasingly needed.
”We want immigration services to be closer to the community. They should be easily accessible and provide convenience and efficiency in the service process,” he said.
