Prepare to be dazzled. The Padma Musical Series concludes its 2026 season with one of the most distinguished classical pairings ever to grace a Bali stage: acclaimed UK pianist George Harliono and South Korean soprano Hera Hyesang Park, performing on Saturday, 12 December 2026.
George Harliono
George Harliono needs little introduction to Padma audiences. On 12 December 2026, George returns to Bali for what promises to be another sold-out concert, following his last stellar appearance at the Padma Legian Resort – Plumeria Ballroom in April 2025.
At the remarkably young age of 25, the much-in-demand George Harliono has already established himself as one of the most distinctive pianists of his generation. A handsome performer of mixed UK-Indonesian heritage, George Harliono won 2nd prize at the highly regarded International Tchaikovsky Competition—considered among the world’s most prestigious music competitions.
Over the past several years, George Harliono has acquired a large and adoring fan following, bringing back to Indonesia on each successive visit his highly charismatic presence as both a solo performer and orchestral headliner, in either role displaying an almost matchless piano virtuosity that has graced global stages ranging from Wigmore Hall, the Berlin Philharmonie Kammermusiksaal, the Royal Albert Hall, Chicago Symphony Center, Suntory Hall, Seoul Arts Center, Singapore’s Victoria Concert Hall, Laeiszhalle Hamburg, and the National Concert Hall in Taipei. Performing at major venues worldwide, he has achieved “superstar” status as the demand for George to play on prestigious international classical music stages has grown exponentially.
George has been awarded prizes in numerous international competitions, including The Grand Piano Competition in Moscow, the Sendai International Music Competition, the Royal Overseas League Music Competition in London, the Gina Bachauer Piano Competition in Utah, Concourse International de Lagny-sur-Marne, and the Dinu Lipatti Piano Competition in Bucharest.
Introducing Hera Hyesang Park
Joining George for his upcoming Bali appearance is Hera Hyesang Park, a highly acclaimed Korean soprano. With a stunningly beautiful lyric coloratura voice, Hera’s was celebrated by the Financial Times as a “pristine, diamond-cut soprano.” An exclusive Deutsche Grammophon Recording Artist, she has performed at the Metropolitan Opera, Staatsoper Berlin, Glyndebourne Festival, and Paris Opéra. She has shared the stage with the New York Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, and Vienna Symphony. With a light, sparkling voice, Hera Hyesang Park can execute virtuosic vocal runs, trills, and high notes while maintaining a warm, expressive lyric quality.
Born in Seoul, South Korea, Hera Park began her vocal studies at Seoul National University, where she earned a Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance. With her degree in hand and eager to perform, Hera moved to the United States, periodically returning to her homeland, where she made her professional opera debut as Violetta in La Traviata with the Korean National Opera.
She then attended the Juilliard School in New York City, graduating in 2017 with an Arts Diploma in Opera Studies. While still at Juilliard, she performed Amina in Bellini’s La Sonnambula and Rossini’s Fiorilla in Il turco in Italia.
Earning accolades and rave reviews with each successive stage performance, Park was accepted into the Lindemann Young Artist Development Program at the Metropolitan Opera. She made her Met debut as the First Wood Sprite in Dvořák’s Rusalka in 2017, conducted by Sir Mark Elder. At this time, Park also sang Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro, conducted by Harry Bicket, and the Dew Fairy in Hansel and Gretel, conducted by Sir Donald Runnicles.
In response to popular demand, Park returned to the Metropolitan Opera Stage in 2019 as Amore in Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice, and in the 2021-2021 season as Pamina in The Magic Flute. This was followed by the starring role of Nannetta in Falstaff, and, only last year, as Zerlina in Don Giovanni, under the baton of Yannick Nézet-Séguin.
Hera Hyesang Park has appeared at many of the world’s leading opera houses, including Berlin, Paris, London, Boston, Des Moines, Munich, and Seoul. She has sung with leading conductors and orchestras, including Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic; Maxim Emelyanchev and the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin; the New York Philharmonic; the Vienna Symphony; New York’s Carnegie Hall; and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2025, she appeared at the BBC Proms as a soloist singing Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 2 “Lobgesang”

In May 2020, Park signed an exclusive recording contract with Deutsche Grammophon, where she released her debut album, “I am Hera,” in November of that year, followed by her second album, “Breathe,” which won the Opus Klassik Award for Videoclip of the Year in 2024.
