On Saturday, 27 June 2026, The Trans Resort Bali hosted a culinary collaboration between Italian Michelin-starred Chef Giorgio Bartolucci and AMICI Bali Head Chef Alessandro D’Amico at the “4-Hands Experience Under the Stars” event held at The 18th Rooftop.
The event was the concluding event of THE TABLE by JRE series – an initiative of Jeunes Restaurateurs (JRE) that brings together Michelin-starred chefs from various countries to present international-standard culinary experiences in Bali. The Bali edition featured two culinary talents hailing from northern and southern Italy. Giorgio Bartolucci, a Michelin-recognized chef who hails from the northern Italian town of Domodossola, and Alessandro D’Amico, from Sicily. Giorgio’s contribution enabled him to share culinary delights from AMICI Bali, which celebrates the dining experience of his hometown.

Speaking at the rooftop event where he presented a rooftop live-cooking demonstration before an appreciative group of interested gourmands, Giorgio said: “When I am at my restaurant in Bali, I feel like I am back home in, Italy. I recall the delicious parmigiana, made with baked mozzarella and tomato sauce, I enjoyed in Sicily.”
While the two chefs, Giorgio and Allexxandro, come from two areas of Italy separated by 1,000 kilometers, their combined cooking gave birth to an exciting new culinary sensation. “We combine elements from Italy’s north and south to create something that is a new and unique experience for our guests. The results are deliciously successful,” said Alessandro.

During the evening, participants enjoyed four canapés: Amici Basket featuring creamy eggplant, tomato sauce, and Pecorino cheese; ‘Michelin Star’ mini beef burgers; Crispy Cannellone that combined duck with a spicy caramel sauce; and Foie Gras Pate Terrine by Atelier accented with candied onions. After savoring the canapés served with quality wines and signature cocktails, the chefs took charge at a live cooking station to prepare Pasta alla Norma and Friends – a salutary combination of handmade Rigatoni Pasta lathered in tomato sauce, smoked eggplant, and salty Ricotta Cheese.
Stefano Gianfriddo, Resort Manager of The Trans Resort Bali, summarized the evening, which concluded a week-long series of JRE Culinary Events, saying:”THE TABLE by JRE is more than a dining event; it is about bringing internationally recognized culinary talent to Bali and creating memorable experiences that connect people through exceptional food.”
Clearly, Bali is a recognized global culinary destination. The Trans Resort Bali’s collaboration with JRE reflects a growing appetite for world-class dining experiences that bring international talent closer to local audiences.
