Initially thought to have died from a heart attack, speculation is now turning to the view that Cameron Hughes may have taken his own life, amid deep depression and concern that he would be barred from future contact with his 8-year-old son.<\/p>\n \u200bHaving lived in Indonesia for 15 years and operating a car restoration workshop, Holden Resto Bali,<\/em> Hughes\u2019 imminent departure from Indonesia and unsettled financial situation before his death are being reported by the Indonesian and Australian media. Reports say he left behind a sizeable amount of unpaid debt and unfulfilled automobile restoration contracts.<\/p>\n \u200bHughes had recently divorced his Indonesian wife. As a result, Hughes’ KITAP<\/em> residence permit was no longer valid. In the course of a bitter divorce proceeding and custody battle for their shared son, Hughes’s Indonesian ex-wife reportedly informed immigration authorities in late March that he no longer held a valid visa.
