RadarBali<\/em> and TribunBali <\/em>report the mysterious apparent suicide of Canadian Aaron James Kennedy (46), found dead in  the Villa Kunyit <\/em>at the El Tulip Springhill Complex<\/em> in South Kuta, Bali, on Monday, 06 July 2026.<\/p>\n

\u200bKennedy came from Oakville, Ontario, Canada,<\/p>\n

\u200bAdding some degree of mystery to the circumstances surrounding Kennedy\u2019s death was the discovery of a firearm near the body found inside the locked villa. Possession of firearms is strictly controlled in Indonesia, with possession of a gun by foreigners forbidden.<\/p>\n

Police gather at Villa Kunyit <\/em>at the El Tulip Springhill Complex<\/em><\/strong> <\/p>\n

\u200bThe Canadian\u2019s death came to light when Kennedy\u2019s wife, Zenvanya, who was in  Jakarta at the time of her husband\u2019s death and was unable to contact her husband by phone, summoned local security personnel by phone at 1:24 pm to check on Aaron in unit #78.<\/p>\n

\u200bSecurity staff from the complex were unable to make contact with Aaron despite knocking loudly on the unit\u2019s doors.<\/p>\n

\u200bTwo hours later, Kennedy\u2019s younger brother, Benjamin, sought assistance in opening the locked unit\u2019s door to the room where Aaron\u2019s dead body was later found. Several witnesses said they saw an object resembling a firearm near the man\u2019s body.<\/p>\n

\u200bA spokesman for the Bali Police<\/em>, AKBP Rina Isriana Dewi, told TribunBali<\/em> on Friday, 10 July 2026, that Kennedy is suspected of having committed suicide by shooting himself with the firearm.<\/p>\n

AKBP Rina Isriana Dewi revealed that the victim was known to have suffered from severe psychological disorders during his lifetime.<\/p>\n

\u200bPolice were quickly summoned to the scene, where they established and declared an official crime scene, collected evidence, and arranged for the man\u2019s body to be moved for forensic examination.<\/p>\n

\u200bAvailable documentation reports police found Kennedy\u2019s body reclined on a sofa with blood having flowed from his nose and mouth onto the sofa and adjacent floor.<\/p>\n
