Kompas reports that effective Saturday, 11 July 2026, China Eastern Airlines has commenced operating three weekly flights between Beijing-Daxing and Denpasar, Bali.<\/p>\n
\u200bThe inaugural flight MU889 Beijing to Bali using an Airbus A330 aircraft departed Beijing-Daxing Airport (PKX) at 3:43 pm local time on Saturday, 12 July 2026, carrying 287 passengers and landing in Bali\u2019s Ngurah Rai International Airport at 10:55 pm.<\/p>\n

PRC<\/strong> <\/p>\n \u200bThe return flight MU890 from Bali back to Beijing departed Bali in the early hours of Sunday, 12 July 2026, also carrying 287 passengers.<\/p>\n \u200bThe general manager of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, Nugroho Jati, said the opening of the new route represents an important step in strengthening air relations between Bali and China. “We are very enthusiastic about welcoming the opening of this new route connecting the capital of China with Bali. We are optimistic that this new route will further strengthen air connectivity with China, as well as further enhance and strengthen Bali’s competitiveness as a major world tourism destination,” he said,<\/p>\n \u200bNugroho said China remains one of Bali\u2019s main sources of foreign tourists, with mainland Chinese tourists representing the second-largest group after Australians. In the first six months of 2026, 297,000 mainland Chinese traveled to Bali. Adding: \u201cThe presence of this new route is expected to further facilitate accessibility and encourage the growth of tourist visits from China to Bali,” he said.<\/p>\n \u200bThe new China Eastern Service will fly from Beijing every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, returning from Denpasar on every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday,<\/p>\n \u200bWith the opening of this route, Beijing Daxing becomes the 42nd direct international route served by Bali\u2019s I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport. Currently, 42 international routes are operated by 43 airlines. Beijing has now become the fifth city in mainland China to offer direct flights to Bali, joining Guangzhou, Shanghai, Xiamen, and Chengdu.<\/p>\n \u200bNugroho hopes the collaboration with China Eastern Airlines will open opportunities for new routes from China in the future. “We express our gratitude and appreciation to all parties for the operation of this new route. Previously, China Eastern Airlines operated a flight route connecting Bali with Shanghai,” he continued.<\/p>\n \u200b”We also hope to establish a long, successful, and mutually beneficial partnership
