Suspected of trying to abscond with hotel furnishings and amenities, the hotel staff can be seen checking the contents of a guest&#8217;s suitcase. Inside the suitcase, items such as hotel towels and other supplies were discovered.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u200bThe four Indian tourists checked in at the resort on 16 April 2026 and stayed for 3 nights.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u200bA spokesman for the Gianyar Police, I Gusti Ngurah Suardita, stated that the incident occurred at the <em>Asvara Resort Ubud,<\/em> Banjar Ayah, Kelusa Village, Payangan District, Gianyar. Suardita said the incident occurred on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at around 10:00 am.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/indian-tourists-unpunished-after-aggressively-pilfering-a-hotel-room-in-ubud-bali-4af0203.webp\" alt=\"Indian Tourists Unpunished After Aggressively Pilfering a Hotel Room in Ubud, Bali\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u200b&#8221;Information from the hotel, the guests are four foreign nationals from India who have been staying since April 16, 2026, by booking two rooms,&#8221; said Suardita on Tuesday, 21 April 2026.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u200bThe incident was discovered during the check-out process. Housekeeping officers found a number of room facilities not in their places. &#8220;Items reported missing include coasters, bath towels, pool towels, hair dryers, kimonos, doormats, television remote boxes, and cutlery,&#8221; said Suardita.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/indian-tourists-unpunished-after-aggressively-pilfering-a-hotel-room-in-ubud-bali-b6e2a9f.jpg\" alt=\"Indian Tourists Unpunished After Aggressively Pilfering a Hotel Room in Ubud, Bali\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u200bHotel staff reported the loss to hotel management, who then delayed the check-out process to seek further clarification from the guests. During the process, the guests reportedly admitted to having taken the items without permission. They also apologized to the hotel. &#8220;The issue was then resolved amicably.
