{"id":260,"date":"2026-06-10T06:33:42","date_gmt":"2026-06-10T06:33:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wlbrs-catalog.ru\/?p=260"},"modified":"2026-06-10T06:33:42","modified_gmt":"2026-06-10T06:33:45","slug":"abandoned-taman-festival-park-undergoing-urban-renewal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wlbrs-catalog.ru\/?p=260","title":{"rendered":"Abandoned Taman Festival Park Undergoing Urban Renewal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/abandoned-taman-festival-park-undergoing-urban-renewal-bbe6fc8.jpg\" alt=\"Abandoned Taman Festival Park Undergoing Urban Renewal\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Taman Festival Park<\/em> &#8211; the seaside amusement attraction at Padang Galak, East Denpasar &#8211; that closed in 1999 for a number of reasons, including a devastating national economic crisis, is now undergoing redevelopment after lying dormant and abandoned for almost three decades.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u200b<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The original park, which was once home to numerous amusement rides, a <em>faux <\/em>volcano, and animal exhibits, is now being demolished, bulldozed, and divided into 3 separate zones.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u200bAs reported by <em>Tribune Bal<\/em>i and <em>Bali Post<\/em>, the ramshackle park facilities will shortly be transformed into three distinct zones:<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u200bA well-organized green that occupies some 30% (2.8 hectares) of the former tourist attraction.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A parking area for the nearby Sanur passenger port occupying 10-20% of the subject space.<\/li>\n<li>A garden area reserved exclusively for the cultivation of Balinese ceremonial plants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The green belt, situated along the southern banks of the Ayung River, will be managed and maintained by the <em>Keseman Traditional Community<\/em>, led by Jero Mangku I Ketut Wisna. This green belt will be used to plant ceremonial, medicinal, and rare Balinese plants.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u200bThe second zone will serve as a central parking area, covering 10-20% of the total area.
