{"id":250,"date":"2026-06-10T02:36:40","date_gmt":"2026-06-10T02:36:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wlbrs-catalog.ru\/?p=250"},"modified":"2026-06-10T02:36:40","modified_gmt":"2026-06-10T02:36:42","slug":"parliamentarian-committee-closes-plataran-villas-in-buleleng-north-bali","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wlbrs-catalog.ru\/?p=250","title":{"rendered":"Parliamentarian Committee Closes Plataran Villas in Buleleng, North Bali"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Special Committee on Spatial Planning (TRAP) Closes Plataran Villas in Buleleng<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u200bAs reported by BeritaBali.com, a S<em>pecial Committee (Pansus) for Spatial Planning, Assets, and Licensing (TRAP)<\/em> from the <em>Bali Provincial Parliament (DPRD)<\/em>, led by Legislator I Made Supartha, paid an unannounced inspection visit to the <em>Plataran Luxury Resort<\/em> in North Bali on Tuesday, 28 April 2026.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/parliamentarian-committee-closes-plataran-villas-in-buleleng-north-bali-293bc85.jpg\" alt=\"Parliamentarian Committee Closes Plataran Villas in Buleleng, North Bali\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u200bDuring the inspection visit, the<em> Special Committee<\/em> discovered serious specific violations of spatial planning and environmental protection regulations. The resort development is located within the <em>West Bali National Park,<\/em> covering 382 hectares, and consists of 18 villas. Of these, at least five luxury villas were alleged to be standing directly on a mangrove conservation area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u200bAlso discovered were indications of mangrove clearance, land compaction, and infringements on the coastal setback boundary line, which is 100 meters from the high tide mark.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u200bBased on these findings, the <em>DPRD\u2019s TRAP Special Committee<\/em> strongly recommends suspending the Resort\u2019s operations and temporarily closing several luxury villas in the area until a thorough investigation and the law enforcement process are successfully concluded.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/parliamentarian-committee-closes-plataran-villas-in-buleleng-north-bali-1411504.jpg\" alt=\"Parliamentarian Committee Closes Plataran Villas in Buleleng, North Bali\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/parliamentarian-committee-closes-plataran-villas-in-buleleng-north-bali-7a2c122.jpg\" alt=\"Parliamentarian Committee Closes Plataran Villas in Buleleng, North Bali\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u200bThe Head of the TRAP Special Committee<\/em>, I Made Supartha, emphasized that buainwaa profit must not be pursued at the expense of the greater need for environmental sustainability.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u200b&#8221;We found luxury villas with rates reaching Rp. 13.5 million per unit per night, yet they stand on protected mangrove areas. This is clearly a serious violation. There must be no compromise that allows the destruction of conservation areas,&#8221; he stressed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u200bHe also added that, in terms of land use, <em>Plataran Management <\/em>occupies approximately 382 hectares of state forest and protected mangroves.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u200b&#8221;This is not a small-scale violation. The responsibility for environmental sustainability is great, and the applicable regulations cannot be ignored,&#8221; said Supartha.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u200bSupartha emphasized that Bali Provincial Regulations on the protection of Bali&#8217;s natural environment, including coastal areas and mangroves, must be honored. Every investment must comply with the principle of maintaining Bali&#8217;s natural balance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u200bThe Special Committee\u2019s<\/em> findings revealed the Resort\u2019s actions violated at least nine regulations, including <em>Law Number 5 of 1990 <\/em>concerning the <em>Conservation of Biological Natural Resources and Ecosystems, Law Number 41 of 1999 <\/em>concerning Forestry, and <em>Law Number 32 of 2009 concerning Environmental Protection and Management.<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u200bThe Resort is also suspected of violating several regional regulations, including <em>Bali Provincial Regulation No. 15 of 2023, Regional Regulation No. 4 of 2026 concerning Coastal Area Protection, Spatial Planning Regulation No. 2 of 2023,<\/em> <em>Bali Architecture Regulation No. 2 of 2015<\/em>, and the requirement for a minimum coastal setback of 100 meters from the high tide mark.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u200bBecause of these violations, the luxury resort&#8217;s management now faces criminal penalties of up to 10 years in prison, fines of up to Rp 10 billion, and administrative sanctions, including permit revocation, suspension of activities, and a mandatory requirement to rehabilitate mangroves.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u200bThe Bali Regional People&#8217;s Representative Council (DPRD) Special Committee on Environmental Protection (TRAP)<\/em> concluded. emphasizing that protecting Bali&#8217;s natural environment is a non-negotiable legal mandate.
