The Island of Bali retains its leading position as Indonesia\u2019s most popular tourism destination, particularly in welcoming visitors from developing economies. That tourism tastes and trends are changing is revealed in a publication released by Colliers Indonesia, \u201cExploring the Anticipated Hospitality Industry in Indonesia for 2024\u201d <\/em>.<\/p>\n The Collier Report<\/em> states that foreign tourists are actively seeking new destinations beyond Bali. <\/p>\n The Director of Hospitality for Colliers Indonesia<\/em>, Satria Wei, confirmed that foreign tourists are now seeking new destinations other than Bali. Satria said in 2023 that in terms of hotel occupancy, Bali remains the Indonesian destination with the highest, followed by Yogyakarta.<\/p>\n Satria said, \u201cIn 2024, visitors from developing countries will seek out new destinations such as Labuan Bajo, Danau Toba, and other attractive ports of call.\u201d The tourism realty expert said the completion of tourism and infrastructure projects will trigger tourism demand for new destinations. For instance 2024, three new hotels will open in Labuan Bajo.<\/p>\n Hotel occupancies for existing and new hotels depend on the strength of the domestic market and whether there are direct international flights to the subject destinations.
