Rationing Limits Now in Effect.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u200b<em>Tribune-Bali<\/em> reports that&nbsp; <em>Pertamina Patra Niaga<\/em> &#8211; the fuel distribution company for East Java, Bali, and Nusa Tenggara (<em>Jatimbalinus)<\/em> has voiced full support for the <em>Governor of Bali\u2019s<\/em> plans to implement an &#8220;odd-even&#8221; policy for refueling <em>&#8220;Pertalite<\/em>&#8221; (gasoline) in Bali, effective from Saturday, 17 October 2026.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u200bThe Governor\u2019s directive is published in the circular <em>memorandum\/directive number B.21.500.1\/16673\/V\/DISNAKER.ESDM.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/pertamina-imposes-lsquoodd-even-fuel-purchasing-scheme-and-fuel-rationing-for-bali-f2b7e4c.jpg\" alt=\"Pertamina Imposes &lsquo;Odd-Even&rsquo; Fuel Purchasing Scheme and Fuel Rationing for Bali\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u200b<strong>Odd-Even = Ganjil-Genap<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The odd-even refueling policy applies to both four-wheeled and two-wheeled vehicles in all areas of the Province of Bali. The Indonesian term for <em>\u201codd-even<\/em>\u201d is \u201c<em>Ganjil-Genap\u201d<\/em> and means:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Vehicles with police registration numbers ending in \u201codd-digits\u201d (i.e., 1,3,5,7,9) can purchase fuel on odd-numbered calendar dates.<\/li>\n<li>Vehicles with police registration numbers ending in \u201ceven-digits\u201d (i.e., 0,2,4,6,8) can purchase fuel on even-numbered calendar dates.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u200b<strong>Fuel Rationing Rules Now in Effect<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Pertamina Patra Niaga<\/em> has also agreed to set maximum refueling limits:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>20 liters for four-wheeled vehicles<\/li>\n<li>3 liters for two-wheeled vehicles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Stipulations Applying to Emergency Vehicles and Goods Trucks<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u200bAhad Rahedi, Area Manager for Communication, Relations &amp; CSR at <em>PT Pertamina Patra Niaga<\/em> (<em>Jatimbalinus Region<\/em>), explained that the Governor\u2019s directive also prioritizes ambulances and fire trucks for refueling at gas stations <em>(SPBU<\/em>). The directive also stipulates that trucks can refuel at gas stations only at night.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>24-Hour Gas Stations Remain in Operation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This odd-even refueling policy and gas-rationing limits are intended to help ease queues at gas stations across Bali. Meanwhile, 66 gas stations will remain operational 24 hours a day\u201442 in Denpasar City and 24 in Badung Regency\u2014to ensure continued service.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Police and Military Support Roles<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe have also received support from 100 personnel of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) from the IX\/Udayana Military Command to serve as gas station operators during the night, as well as the provision of escort services from the Bali Regional Police to ensure the smooth distribution of fuel tanker trucks to gas stations.
