\u200bMaryni Manga, also known as \u201cRini,\u201d co-founder of the \u201cSelf-Care Class,<\/em>\u201d explained that the social initiative was inspired by videos showing emergency surgeries being performed in tents on the island of Flores in Nusa Tenggara following the series of hundreds of earthquakes that started on 15 August 2026, resulting in at least 100 deaths and more than 1,600 significant injuries.<\/p>\n

“The video from Aeramo Hospital in Nagekeo deeply moved our team to help. We felt we didn’t necessarily have to travel to Flores to make a difference from Bali. Because of this, we organized a fundraising Pilates Class where 100% of ticket sales and donations went directly to helping our fellow Indonesians needing emergency aid on the island of Flores. Our plans for a fundraiser were warmly supported by Sira Village, where the entire coordination process was completely hassle-free,” Rini said.<\/p>\n

\u200bUsing proceeds from ticket sales and donations raised during the Pilates event, the \u201cSelf Care Class\u201d<\/em> was able to send funds to Flores healthcare facilities in need. “We purchased medical equipment such as a nebulizer for the Tuanggeo Community Health Center and glucose testing kits for Ruteng Hospital, as well as breast pumps, breast milk storage bags, and baby swaddles for the Aeramo Regional General Hospital,” Rini explained.<\/p>\n

\u200bTantowi Yahya, President Director of PT Grand Outlet Bali,<\/em> welcomed the \u201cSelf Care Class\u201d fundraiser<\/em>, explaining that the event reflected the Company\u2019s desire to prioritize positive cooperation with the wider community. “From the outset, Sira Village was designed not merely as a world-class shopping destination, but as a living space that generates shared positive outcomes for all.  We envision this area as a hub where various meaningful initiatives can successfully come together.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u200bThe event’s success in raising much-needed funds was made possible due to close collaboration among various communities in Bali. \u201cSelf Care Classes,\u201d<\/em> held with the assistance of Sira Village<\/em> commercial tenants and led by volunteer instructors and beauty care providers, generated much-needed funds for earthquake victims in East Nusa Tenggara.<\/p>\n
